Season 2 Tapes Released

Season II – A journey of contrast, repetition, symbolism and style… Our 6 new tapes saw a huge amount of variation in styles, whilst all retaining the one consistent element, black and white. We believe that the essence of shape and form comes when colour doesn’t interupt, thus giving us a simplified approach of how to represent our ideas behind each tape.

Introducing Alt-J…

Burgh’s Alt-J Bar Tape features typography of our logo, mixed in with some cool shapes, all done by using the command Alt-J on a Mac. Alt-J duplicates elements, just like this tape does. Throwing letters and other graphic elements all around the park.

Introducing Bokeh…

Burgh’s Bokeh Bar Tape (created by @avikaa) is styled towards our incredible friends in the cycling community, the shutterbugs (photographers). Whether they are taking beautiful snaps of your cyclocross races, attempting to sabotage Chris Froome’s Tour de France chances, or being creepy, one thing we all know, is they keep things interesting.

Introducing Hieroglyph…

Burgh’s Hieroglyph Bar Tape is a throw back to the Egyptian times. Using a grid based formula, some funky looking elements, and of course throwing a few ‘X’s in there, this tape it subtle enough for the conservatives, but wouldn’t look out of place anywhere!

Introducing Modelli…

Burgh’s Modelli Bar Tape is a playful tape that focuses around those in the cycling community that just love being different. Featuring some strong retro patterns arranged in a playful manner, this tape will certainly make your front end rock your world!

Introducing Ossa…

Burgh’s Ossa Bar Tape features a slim topographic map print, with the inclusion of a few “X” marks the spot. Those are the little moments of triumph we experience on the bike when kicking goals! It is topped off by the inclusion of Tasmania’s highest peak elevation, Mt.Ossa which stands at 1,617m tall.

Introducing Pathogen…

Burgh’s Pathogen Bar Tape brings a retro pattern back to life with some bacteria! These microscopic little creatures symbolise the ridiculous grip the Burgh Tapes offer, giving you a great surface in all conditions! However don’t be fooled by the grimy bacteria, our tapes can be cleaned with a simple wet cloth, so don’t be shy, get them dirty!
