An accomplished gravel racer, Justine has well and truly made her mark on the competitive racing scene, with achievements including 2023 Australian National Gravel Champion. Justine competes as a gravel privateer across Australia, the USA and Europe, showcasing her strengths in endurance races and tough climbs and exploring new parts of the world.

Connor Sens

Elite, Bendigo

Connor is an elite racer in the gravel scene, with stints as a continental cyclist in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia as a multi-discipline cyclist. Taking out the 2023 AusCycling Gravel National Championships in Derby, Connor is the leader of the field when it comes to hard climbs, technical descents and muddy terrain. Looking to reach the top of gravel racing, we’re keen to see what Connor gets up to in the next 12 months as he looks to achieve his dreams on the world’s biggest stage.

Peta Mullens

Elite, Victoria

Having been racing bikes for 20 years now, Peta followed the path of road racing through the AIS and the World Tour, before discovering MTB, and more recently gravel. Peta has raced on the European and US circuit for both road and MTB, but also had success within Australia, winning 12 National titles along the way.

For the past five years Peta was at the helm of a UCI Women’s cycling team Roxsolt, where they were one of the most successful teams in Australia’s history. This year Peta is reverting back to being a privateer in pursuit of the US based off-road series the Life Time Grand Prix, a series of rough roads and 200+ mile events – where she’ll be utilising Burgh’s Endurance tapes!

Matt Bird

Elite, Adelaide

Matt is a seasoned gravel racer with over ten years in competitive cycling from downhill MTB to NRS stage races before finding his stride in the gravel scene.

Competing here and abroad in some of the toughest terrains, Matt is not one to shy away from a challenge and took on the gruelling 260km Kidman Trail to chase a Fastest Known Time (FKT) attempt (read more about that here).

In 2024, Matt is joining Easton Overland and Orbea team for an exciting season of racing in Australia, Europe and the United States.

Nicole Frain

Elite, Tasmania

Nicole started cycling in 2018, with a short background in Triathlons, and one year later found herself signed up to the Tasmanian Institute of Sport Women’s Racing Team to compete in NRS, as well as the High-performance Scholarship with TIS, and Elite Sports Scholarship with Federation University. This is where Nicole also studies a Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition part-time, and juggles a full time job as Product Developer at Bulk Nutrients, to support her cycling endeavours. Nicole has recently returned from Belgium from a summer of cycling, helping her to develop her skills, knowledge and experience in racing.

Kyle is a pro gravel privateer who balances a busy corporate career with a passion for cycling, from challenging fellow elite racers to joining weekday group rides. With a stacked 2025 schedule of top gravel events, Kyle’s mission is simple: spread the joy of cycling, one ride at a time.

Cassia Boglio

Elite, Western Australia

Cassia is a 22 year old elite cyclist hailing from Perth, WA. Cassia’s interest is heavily rooted in off-road events as she seeks an international career in 2024, once she finishes her Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Starting her racing career in the junior triathlon scene, where she found success with the Elite Australian National Junior Team, and then transitioned to the road in 2020. Cassia has been a part of the ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast, AG Insurance NXTG, and DRG Knights Liv teams, but looks to go it as a privateer in the off-road world, as she just loves gravel, hard hilly courses and the passion of riders in that area. We’re stoked to have you on board!

Elizabeth Nuspan

After snagging runner up at the U23 Australian Criterium in 2020 and racing across Europe, life threw Eli the ultimate curveball – being hit by a car and fracturing her pelvis in four places.

Eli didn’t let this stop her and went on to join premier women’s cycling team, Roxsolt Liv SRAM where she loves racing all things two wheels from track and road, to XC, gravel and enduro. We’re pumped to have Eli on board as a Burgh Ambassador and to follow her adventures as she chases the thrill of riding in Australia and abroad.

Jon Odams

Jon is a lifelong rider and podium regular across a bunch of disciplines including enduro, XC, e-bike and DH racing. From claiming the Australian 24 Hour Solo National Championship in 2022 to a stack of stage race and event victories that would make any racing fan froth, Jon’s results are a testament to his skill and determination. Even with his continued success, Jon’s true passion and motivation for the sport is fuelled by epic adventures on his gravel rig across Sydney and greater Australia.

Claudia Marcks

Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Claudia is an Elite U23 track rider with nine years of cycling and a stack of podium finishes under her belt, including the 2023 Oceania Track Championships with gold in the Team Pursuit. In 2024, Claudia’s eyes are fixed on making Olympic selection with the Australian Track Team to test her skills on the world’s biggest sporting stage.

When she isn’t tearing up the velodrome, you will find Claudia hitting the road with NRS women’s cycling team, Cervelo Ziptrack on her trusty roadie.

Tommy Chapman

Tommy has been racing for 6 years, in which he’s won an incredible 3 Junior National Titles. Having competed on the NRS at home in Australia and abroad in both Europe and the United States, Tommy is now a contracted member of the Focus Attaquer CX Team. His passion is racing, whether that’s a competitive organised race, summer crit, NCXS round or just racing his mates through the city before a brew stop – Tommy lives and breathes bikes.

A strong climber, qualified nutritionist, personal trainer makes not only a busy individual, but also means Nicole knows that quality training and diet goes a long way to success on race day. Having worked with Nicole almost since day one of Burgh, we’re super excited to continue support her on the way to achieving her goals!

Patty Best

With over a decade of racing experience, Patty has an impressive stack of medals across gravel, DH, track, enduro, road and XC – talk about an all-rounder!

Recently, he’s shifted gears to gravel and MTB racing and set his eyes on the challenging Devils Cardigan later this year.

Outside of the adrenaline rush of cycling, Patty is passionate about helping people. As a disability support worker and qualified fitter and turner, he is on a mission to show that people with impairments can still chase their dreams and do seriously amazing things, even if their path has a few more hills than most.

Sharni Morley

With a love for road and track racing, Sharni is a versatile team player, ready to jump in as a domestique or lead rider to support her team’s efforts.

Kicking off her career as a track sprinter in 2015, Sharni quickly made a name for herself as a four-time junior Victorian champion and scoring bronze at the Australian National Time Trial Championships. In 2021, she shifted gears to road racing and calls Italy home during the racing season.

Archie Davis

Archie is a young gun who traded his triathlon gear for the thrill of cycling and hasn’t looked back since. He loves all things two wheels and chasing new adventures whether it be racing interstate or trying out cyclocross and gravel. Archie’s goal for 2024 is to gain as much experience as possible, test his limits and soak up the wonderful cycling culture.
