Connor Sens

Elite, Bendigo

Connor is an elite racer in the gravel scene, with stints as a continental cyclist in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia as a multi-discipline cyclist. Recently taking out the AusCycling Gravel National Championships in Derby, Connor is the leader of the field when it comes to hard climbs, technical descents and muddy terrain. Looking to reach the top of gravel racing, we’re keen to see what Connor gets up to in the next 18 months as he looks to achieve his dreams on the world’s biggest stage.

Cassia Boglio

Elite, Western Australia

Cassia is a 22 year old elite cyclist hailing from Perth, WA. Cassia’s interest is heavily rooted in off-road events as she seeks an international career in 2024, once she finishes her Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Starting her racing career in the junior triathlon scene, where she found success with the Elite Australian National Junior Team, and then transitioned to the road in 2020. Cassia has been a part of the ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast, AG Insurance NXTG, and DRG Knights Liv teams, but looks to go it as a privateer in the off-road world, as she just loves gravel, hard hilly courses and the passion of riders in that area. We’re stoked to have you on board!

Tommy Chapman

Elite, South Australia

Tommy has been racing for 6 years, in which he’s won an incredible 3 Junior National Titles. Having competed on the NRS at home in Australia and abroad in both Europe and the United States, Tommy is now a contracted member of the Focus Attaquer CX Team. His passion is racing, whether that’s a competitive organised race, summer crit, NCXS round or just racing his mates through the city before a brew stop – Tommy lives and breathes bikes.

The MAAP-Sixpence CX Team is comprised an elite team of Aussie riders and like-minded brand partners all joining forces with a shared goal in mind: To celebrate the spirit of cross by racing hard as a team and contributing to the progression of the sport. Featuring big names like Garry Millburn, Fiona Morris, Chris Aitken and Stacey Huysmans, the team is of the highest calibre – so make sure you keep your eyes out for them at the top of the results list.

Nicole Mitsigeorgis

Nicole is a privateer elite road and gravel cyclist, who is working towards qualifying for the World Gravel Championships. A strong climber, qualified nutritionist, personal trainer makes not only a busy individual, but also means Nicole knows that quality training and diet goes a long way to success on race day. Having worked with Nicole almost since day one of Burgh, we’re super excited to continue support her on the way to achieving her goals!

Alberto’s bike adventure started when he was injured whilst playing tennis. Alberto could not play tennis for a few months, and to keep up his physical condition – started cycling. Now, Alberto rides is highly passionate about cycling, like in life, where crashing and falling are just part of the overall journey, and sometimes great things come out of negative experiences.

A beast on the MTB, a workhorse on the road and an even bigger shredder on the Enduro bike, Izzy’s feats are fit to model for any young riders in Tassie.

Our goal is to expand a team of cycling enthusiasts who have a passion for riding and racing, whether it be on the road or around a Criterium course our vision is to become a well recognised team that has representation across all levels and more importantly has fun while representing the team. We aim to battle against mental illness and offer support, and raise awareness and funds for mental health.

Adam may be only young but don’t let his age fool you, this guy can ride! Hailing from Melbourne, Adam has years of experience racing a combination of mountain bike, cyclocross and road events across Australia. 2022 sees Adam splitting his time between studies and racing. Nicole Frain

Elite, Tasmania

Nicole started cycling in 2018, with a short background in Triathlons, and one year later found herself signed up to the Tasmanian Institute of Sport Women’s Racing Team to compete in NRS, as well as the High-performance Scholarship with TIS, and Elite Sports Scholarship with Federation University. This is where Nicole also studies a Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition part-time, and juggles a full time job as Product Developer at Bulk Nutrients, to support her cycling endeavours. Nicole has recently returned from Belgium from a summer of cycling, helping her to develop her skills, knowledge and experience in racing.

Benjamin Said

He’s a super fast-barista, beaten anorexia, dual Gold Medalist at Nationals in 2020  and has run 5000 metres for Australia. Now Ben’s in full-time training for the 2020 road cycling world championships at the ripe old age of 17. And he is blind. Ben’s a member of Manly Warringah Cycling Club and was born with optical pathway tumours, rendering him less than 20& vision. But nothing can stop him.

The ACA integrate high-performance, tertiary study and professional mentoring from their hub at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Valuing life balance, hard work and loving what you do, this positive team culture brings out the best in the riders and makes for one hell of a successful environment.

The Giant Racing Team are a national road series cycling team with the same kit, sponsors and support for both male and female riders, a unique point of difference. Not only do they aspire to develop their athletes to become world tour riders, but first and foremost they believe in creating well rounded individuals who will be successful on and off the bike. They also focus on raising awareness for Dementia, by partnering with the Dementia Project – including volunteer work at respite centres, pen pals and charity rides.

A road cycling development program for vision impaired paracyclists in S.A. The program produces road competent tandem riders through specialist training and skills sessions – with the program being also focusing on awareness, inclusion and encouragement of vision impaired cyclists to the greater cycling community. The tandem teams then develop and compete at State and National level.

Vermarc Arbitage Masters consists of a group of great mates who whilst may be a little busier (and may have aged a little since the good old days). Racing throughout the local calendar, the guys still know how to go FULLGAS.

Myriad Racing is a newly formed, Melbourne based U19 team who rides and races across metro and country Victoria. The riders compete in all road formats, road, crits, time trials and track. The concept of this team started out of the idea of bringing together a group of mates to take their cycling to a new level.

Hayden Van Der Ploeg

Hayden is a young up and coming track and road cyclist from Tassie’s North West coast. Currently the Junior State Champion, Hayden has recently given up all other sporting endeavours to focus soley on cycling. This dedication is shown through his education, where he is studying sport science – focusing on heart rate, so he can gain any little advantage over his competitors. Placing strongly at track and road nationals recently, and taking out a number of Wheel Races in the Christmas Carnivals in 2018, Hayden has set some big goals for the end of 2019 and 2020.

When a group of highly creative architects, photographers, NRS riders, economists and barista’s join forces – you get Centino CC. The gang enjoys social rides, commutes, races, 2km rides to the cafe and then home again. Their motto is “Look fit, but we’re pretty shit” – a fine thing to live by in the cycling world –  and that’s something worth celebrating, not taking yourself too seriously.
