We’re supporting Jack Riewoldt’s fantastic initiative to raise money for Ryan Wiggins, a young local Tassie boy who fractured his spinal cord playing footy. It’s great to see someone of Jack’s status using his voice to assist someone in need.

The Route

On December 19, Jack Riewoldt will ride from Devonport to Hobart, to raise $100k for Ryan’s rehabilitation and recovery.

Ryan’s Story

On July 4 2021, Ryan Wiggins, 26, survived a devastating spinal injury which resulted in a highly severe, near fatal C2 fracture to his spinal cord.

Ryan has spent the last 5 months hospitalised in Melbourne, and has only recently returned home to Tasmania to continue his recovery and rehabilitation.

A builder, and player at Cygnet Football Club, you would find Ryan renovating, training, playing football, catching up with mates, or walking his fur babies. Ryan and his family face a long road ahead, and through the generous support of the local and wider community, every dollar counts in supporting Ryan’s journey.

All funds raised from Ride For Ryan will go towards Ryan’s rehabilitation essentials, house renovations and expert care. The ultimate goal is to raise enough money to fund a trip to world-renowned Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado, to support Ryan’s spinal rehabilitation.
